July 13 – Prof. David S. Barnes, Ph.D. Dept of History and Social Science University of Pennsylvania
Dr. Barnes teaches the history of medicine and public health. A published author, he will tell us about the “Philadelphia Lazaretto, Forgotten Monument to a Hidden History,” the sixth oldest quarantine station in the world.

“Why Historical Preservation is Important.” Recent Achievements in Historical Preservation in Philadelphia.
July 27 Marilyn MacGregor Art historian, teacher and writer.
She is the author of an award-winning blog, “ArtSmartTalk.” Her topic is “Collecting Artists: Matisse, Dr. Barnes and his renowned collection” at the new Barnes Foundation on the Parkway.
