Dear Right Angle Members,
I believe most everyone is aware that the decision has been made to move our main venue for Right Angle Meetings to:
THE PYRAMID CLUB (BNY Mellon Center 52nd Floor 1735 Market Street, Philadelphia PA 19103).
In addition to a spectacular view of downtown Philadelphia The Pyramid Club will offer the menu we used to have at the Racquet Club (i.e., 2 entrées, salad with multiple toppings, vegetables & dessert options). As an added convenience, you can reach the Pyramid Club from Suburban Station without even going outside.
Change is never easy, but it almost always proves to be fortuitous and energizing!
- Our LAST luncheon Meeting at the Racquet Club will be Friday, December 18th – speaker Matthew Dupee will discuss the History of Gentlemen’s Clubs in Philadelphia and the USA
- Our FIRST LUNCHEON MEETING at the Pyramid Club will be Friday, January 8, 2016. Auspiciously, this is also our ANNUAL MEETING.

Entrance to the building: You can enter from either Market Street or J.F. Kennedy Boulevard. Furthermore, you can access the building from underground at Suburban Station. In Suburban Station, walk toward the signs indicating the exit to 17th Street. But, rather than walk up the stairs to 17th street, walk toward the sign on your right (as you face the stairs) labeled “La Barberia.” At that sign, turn right & walk through the glass doors with the “BNY Mellon Center” sign above them. Proceed through a 2nd set of glass doors with another “BNY Mellon Center” sign above them. Pass the atrium on your left & make a slight right to continue down the corridor until you have to turn left. Take the escalator (or, if you prefer, elevator) up, turn right & you are in the BNY/Mellon Center lobby.
Parking: If you are driving, the Pyramid Club offers discounted parking at the:
Sonesta Hotel, 1800 Market Street; valet parking. All day passes are $17.00 per car
Standard Parking Garage, 1700 Market Street; self-park. All day passes are $15.00 per car
Validate your parking ticket with the Pyramid Club’s receptionist on the 52nd floor.
Please bring a photo ID (e.g., driver’s license). After entering the building lobby show your photo ID to the person at the security booth. Take one of the elevators to the 51st floor. There you will see the entrance to the club. You may either walk up the spiral staircase or take the elevator to the 52nd floor. The luncheon will be held in the Fairmount Room at the Pyramid Club. Please ask for directions to that room from the 52nd floor receptionist.
